Optimization of the saw-damage etching/acid texturing process is very important for producing high quality cells, as this process step has an impact on both wafer breakage rates and cell efficiencies. This can be a difficult process step to control correctly. Thickness removed from wafers is affected by factors such as acid solution concentration, bath temperature and conveyor belt speed.
